Colleagues: apologies for what I consider to be a poor performance of the Society these past couple weeks. The camera that is integral to capturing little moments of Stadtluft has been sent far, far away, hopefully convalescing, and even more hopefully still under warranty.
Meanwhile, the cameraphone, once a boon to urban surveillance, has lately shown itself to be lacking. Form has suffered at the hands of content since the beginning of the matter, so perhaps this will be an exercise in restraint and technique. Also, when a picture is taken with my phone, the loud shutter-release sound cannot be turned off—a consequence of up-skirt photography, according to the phone’s maker.
So no one do anything terrible interesting, and we’ll all be square.
Miserably, yours.
