We lack a Point Zero.  In theory, such a point would be placed at the very midpoint of the city—say, around Buena Vista Park or Twin Peaks.

The Tenderloin Geographic Society has moved to make this arbitrary street marking in the TL Point Zero, northeast corner of Hyde and Fulton.
